Homecoming - massage therapy & moving into the body - Jules Harrington, 'The Chai Sessions'

Now Yoga Begins - James Boag, 'The Chai Sessions'
Over the years James has been a regular visitor to MCY. I was so desperate for people to hear what he had to share and for them to see the gift in texts like the Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras. He's helping us all see the wisdom in these teachings and how we can work with them, not only in our yoga practice on the mat but off the mat too as we go about our daily lives.

So when we were forced to close the studio by the Covid-19 crisis in 2020 my strategy was the same - keep everyone connected, share yoga by whatever practical means we could and above all, keep it real for everyone.
Into The Upside-Down - Matt Evans, 'The Chai Sessions'
Matt is one of our recent MCY teacher-training graduates and handstand enthusiast! Hand-standing is a puzzle that takes us beyond where we think we can go. We chat all about it here in this Chai Session.

Advice from the yoga room
Coming back to a yoga class in the studio after such a long break, even if you’ve been joining classes online, can feel daunting for lots of different reasons.
Our Mysore style regulars really are all levels from beginners to long time practitioners, and I bet none of them thought, when they came to their first class, that they wouldn’t look back! I asked a few of them what they wish someone had told them before starting and here’s what they had to say…
