Ashtanga Yoga Resources: Primary Series Cheat Sheets & More

You’ll find a few resources below to help you with your Ashtanga Yoga practice at home including our very own MCY Primary Series Cheat Sheets!

Home practice isn’t always easy. There can be lots of distractions and it can be difficult to carve out the time and space for practice.

If you need some support, remember you can join me and our MCY family live on Facebook every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 6.30am. I’ll chant the opening mantra and practice a few sun salutations to get you started.

MCY Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series Cheat Sheets

Need a little help remembering the sequence of postures? We’ve got you covered! I braved the camera and we created our very own MCY Primary Series Cheat Sheets. We’ve got a Full Primary Series Cheat Sheet, a Half Primary Series Cheat Sheet and an Ashtanga Yoga Beginners Cheat Sheet.

You can download them, print them out and practice with them at home to help you remember which posture comes next.

This is a recording of one of our live online zoom classes. We cover the first half of the Primary Series sequence before enjoying a very well deserved relaxation. If you can’t join us live on Tuesday at 6pm or would like to practice Half Primary more than once a week, this recording might come in handy. Enjoy!

Ashtanga Yoga Counted Led Primary Audio Recording

Practice along to a recording of one of our Sunday afternoon led primary classes at home. The standing sequence starts at 13:13, the seated primary series starts at 29:12 and backbending starts at 1:01:40. So you can skip through the parts that you don’t normally practice.
