Counting the Breath Meditation Audio Download
Mediation is the practice of cultivating awareness of our thoughts and feelings. It’s not about turning them off but about learning to observe them without comment or judgement. This helps us be aware of what’s happening in our body, our mind or our surroundings in the present moment.
Patricia Galavis is our resident expert meditation and mindfulness teacher here at MCY. She's kindly shared a recording of her 'Counting the Breath' meditation that you can practice along with at home.

Escape to the Country

I’ve been searching for somewhere luxurious and comfortable, and possibly a bit closer to home, to escape to this year. Somewhere we don’t have to go outside if it’s raining and an amazing spot to sit outside when the sun shines…
Yoga from the Heart
“When we meet something with love we transform it.” One of my first lectures with James Boag was on the 2nd January 2012 in his apartment in Mysore, South India. I’d been practicing at the Shala (Shri K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute) with Sharath since mid December. Because it was so busy, my start time was really late and so I couldn’t join the philosophy classes there…
