About Marta

When Marta began her yoga practice in 2007 she was at first interested in the physical aspect of yoga, but soon became aware of its therapeutic properties, where mind and body find harmony through mindfulness in movement. She completed our 200 hour CYS Yoga Teacher Training programme here at Merchant City Yoga in 2017.

Later that same year she went on to train as a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist with Lucy Trend at the Shiatsu and Thai Massage Training Scotland. Marta found that the knowledge and skills gained during the training with Lucy complemented and enhanced her yoga teaching greatly.

With time she noticed a shift in not only her physical practice but also her day-to-day life off the mat. She was inspired to share this with others and created Yoga Untangled - Yoga and Massage Therapies in 2017.

She has further continued her professional development and is now qualified to teach yin yoga, yoga and mindfulness to kids, teenagers and young adults, and has also followed through with her long-time interest in Ayurveda and now has a diploma qualification in Ayurveda Massage.

Marta is now studying towards completing Advance Teacher Training. Her practice, her teaching and her work as a therapist have now become an inspirational and irreplaceable part of her life.
