ONLINE | Yin Yoga Weekend POP UP with Claire Black

In this Sunday afternoon Yin POP UP class we'll make time to be still, relax deeply, and focus on the breath.

Yin Yoga is purposely slow. Most poses are done sitting or lying down and are held for longer periods of time (between 3-5 minutes). In traditional (yang) styles of yoga the intention is to work the muscles, however in Yin Yoga the intention is to work on the connective tissues, especially the fascia. Even though Yin postures appear simple and passive they can be deceptively powerful!

The practice is highly adaptable. We look at the person not the pose. So we don’t get too hung up on how a pose looks but focus more on how it feels. This allows you to explore your experience of the pose and find your own unique version of it.

Yin Yoga is genuinely a practice for everybody and is an antidote to our often busy lifestyle. It's for anyone who wants to press pause, find some space and take time out to recharge. It’s also a great balance to more yang styles of yoga such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hot Yoga.

In this special ONLINE Weekend POP UP Claire will finish class with one of her favourite guided relaxations.

This Yin Pop Up class is suitable for all levels. No previous experience of yoga or meditation is required.
