10am-12.30pm and 2.30-5pm

Would you like to hone your touch skills and enhance your hands-on assists?

Bring confidence to your hands-on communication?

Learn some Thai Massage techniques that can benefit your students during relaxation?

Join Lucy Trend with Marta Czyz-Cameron to learn about how touch works and how to use your own body and energy field sensitively to hold safe space for your students, so that they may experience balance and flow in their minds and bodies more deeply through your touch.

Lucy and Marta will help you explore somatic awareness, energy awareness and effective touch techniques from the ancient practices of Thailand, including the use of Mantra to connect to our resonance. They’ll weave the principles of science together with the modern disciplines of myofascial release and Alexander technique, whilst working with the foundation of the steadying yoga principles of Sthira and Sukham Asanam.

How do we know how what quality of touch a student needs? Are we aware of how to approach the energy field of our students? Do we even have consent to touch an individual, specific or implicit?

Explore these questions and more during this one-day workshop specially designed for yoga teachers to explore the art of touch.

Workshop Cost £85

About Marta

Marta Czyz-Cameron created Yoga Untangled - Yoga and Massage Therapies in 2017. When Marta began her yoga practice in 2007, she was at first interested in the physical aspect of yoga, but soon became aware of its therapeutic properties, where mind and body find harmony through mindfulness in movement. With time she noticed a shift in not only her physical practice but also her day-to-day life off the mat. She was inspired to share this with others and trained as a yoga teacher, and then a Thai Yoga Massage and Ayurvedic Massage Therapist.

Marta completed CYS Yoga Teacher Training here at Merchant City Yoga in 2017. Later that year she went on to train as a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist with Lucy Trend at the Shiatsu and Thai Massage Training Scotland. Marta found that the knowledge and skills gained during the training with Lucy complemented and enhanced her yoga teaching greatly. She has further continued her professional development and is now qualified to teach yin yoga, yoga and mindfulness to kids, teenagers and young adults, and has also followed through with her long-time interest in Ayurveda and now has a diploma qualification in Ayurveda Massage. Her practise, her teaching, and her work as a therapist have now become an immense part of her life.
