Vinyasa Flow with Ana – fluid, creative, fun!
Vinyasa Flow is a style of yoga that’s a bit like a dance – fluid, creative and fun. As you move and smoothly transition from posture to posture in Ana’s yoga class, you learn to coordinate your breath with each movement.
The amazing Ana Costa teaches our Wednesday evening Vinyasa Flow class here at MCY.
Ana has developed a deep understanding of the body’s anatomy through her studies. She has a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and PhD in Cardiac Research! This allows her to tailor what she offers to each and every student including those with injuries.
The sequence and postures in Vinyasa Flow are different every week so there’s always something new and exciting for you to try. This class is perfect for beginners as well as those who’ve been practicing yoga for a while.

“Oh how I love creating the sequences we flow through every week! Every class is different and unique, and so special.
We flow through postures to cheery music, with some laughs and smiles. Each class we focus on different body parts, not only to strengthen and become more flexible, but to also bring our awareness to them.
It is so surprising how many little muscles and ligaments we do not realise we have until we find them in a certain posture!
Whether you have practiced yoga before or not, you are always very welcome! There are plenty of variations for every posture to ensure every body (yes, I mean body) can happily join in despite any injuries or general “stiffnesses”.
There are two things I wish everyone takes away from class. The first is how to safely do postures while learning how strong the body can be. The second is that everyone has fun while learning!”

Practice Vinyasa Flow with Ana any time. These on demand classes are suitable for beginners and those with more experience looking to develop their practice.
Sequence for the hips & releasing the back
In this new on-demand class, Ana will guide you through a sequence targeting the hips and releasing the back. Maybe you’ve found yourself sitting a lot more than usual recently. This can effect the back and shorten the front of the hips. We’ll bring length back to these areas of the body so we can improve our posture and feel better.
Sequence building bakasana (crow pose)
This flow builds up to bakasana, crow pose. After warming and opening the body, we break down the foundations of bakasana so you can work on it wherever you are.
Full body flow
In this class you’ll flow with the breath as you smoothly move between postures, almost like a dance. Helping your mind stay focused and your body balanced. This sequence includes sun salutations, standing and seated postures. It’s great for practicing at any time of the day!
