Magic, Meditation & Candlelight - 'The Chai Sessions'

I'm so excited to be back on the sofa with Nicole and Ema to talk about our 10th annual Candlelit Meditation. I thought it would be lovely to have a little chat to let you know what we're going to be up to on Sunday 11th December (that’s next week!)

For me, the Candlelit Meditation is a really magical event. I love it because it offers us the opportunity to slow down for a short while to connect. Something very magical really does happen in the room when we all get in there.

On the day, Ema and myself will each share a meditation and Nicole will close our session with a beautiful Yoga Nidra practice.

We go into detail in our chat about what we’ll each be offering and what to expect. It’s ok if you’ve never meditated before, this is an excellent opportunity to give it a try. Ema and Nicole offer some advice for those new to meditating. And if you’re worried about getting comfortable or sitting still, there’s lots we can do to help. We even have chairs!

We’d love you to join us and bring your friends and family along to celebrate too. Every penny we raise from this year’s Candlelit Meditation will be donated to Fareshare Glasgow (administered in Glasgow by Move On SC026983). They do fantastic work redistributing quality surplus food to groups working with vulnerable people in and around Glasgow and the West of Scotland.

Pop the kettle on, get yourself comfy and come and join us.

You can join this year’s Candlelit Meditation in the studio or online from home on Sunday 11th December, 3-4.30pm. If you’re joining us in the studio we’ll celebrate together afterwards with fresh Spiced Chai, homemade mince pies and cookies. And if you’re joining online I’ll be sharing my recipes so you don’t miss out!

This very special event costs just £12. You can even choose to pay a little more knowing that every single penny will be donated to Fareshare Glasgow, a local food redistribution charity. Book your place now!

If you're unable to join us this year but would still like to support Fareshare Glasgow you can make a donation here

If you have any questions email me or find us on social media.

‘The Chai Sessions’

Anyone who has been to Merchant City Yoga on a Sunday knows how much I love catching up with everyone over a cup of my freshly brewed spiced chai. These Sunday chai sessions really bring everyone together, a true celebration of friendship, community and connection.

I want to try and capture some of that magic and share it with you at home. So I've invited some familiar and new faces from our MCY family to chat with me over a cuppa. I'm affectionately calling them 'The Chai Sessions'.
