A Full Heart - Yogability, 'The Chai Sessions'

Debbie and Judi at the 108 Sun Salutations event in December 2022

Debbie is back! She joined me for a catch up and this time brought some very special guests.

If you don't know Debbie, she's one of the founders of the charity Yogability. She's also one of our amazing CYS graduates.

Yogability is a local Glasgow-based charity who offer yoga to children and adults with special needs, their families and carers. We raise funds for them each Christmas here at MCY through our 108 Sun Salutations event.

Debbie's son Cameron, now a trustee of Yogability (AMAZING news!), and her friend and colleague Jane join her to update us on what's been going on at Yogability this past year.

Last year Debbie mentioned Yogability would be setting up a new class with the money we raised. They tell us all about their new mini yogis class and the difference it makes to the children who come. They can provide this class regularly because of your generous donations. The routine of coming each week is huge and makes such a big difference.

Debbie shares Yogability's exciting plans for the future too and how you can get involved. Yogability has big plans to reach more children and families here in Glasgow by offering support to local yoga teachers and helping them set up their own Yogability classes. If you want to get involved email Debbie.

You can also get involved in this year’s 108 Sun Salutations event on Saturday 16th December. Sign up now, take on the challenge and help us raise much needed funds for this incredible charity.

Or make a donation on the GoFundMe page.

If a lot of us give a little, we can help Yogability provide a whole lot.

‘The Chai Sessions’

Anyone who has been to Merchant City Yoga on a Sunday knows how much I love catching up with everyone over a cup of my freshly brewed spiced chai. These Sunday chai sessions really bring everyone together, a true celebration of friendship, community and connection.

I want to try and capture some of that magic and share it with you at home. So I've invited some familiar and new faces from our MCY family to chat with me over a cuppa. I'm affectionately calling them 'The Chai Sessions'.
