The Bhagavad Gītā | Living in the World
Practical teachings for living well from the Bhagavad Gita

Eight hour course over four sessions
Sunday 5/12/19/26 May 2024 (3-5pm)

As humans living in the world with jobs, families and all our other activities and responsibilities, it can sometimes be difficult to find balance. Our yoga practice makes us more conscious and patient, but it can still be hard to find ourselves at the centre of our fast paced and complex lives.

This struggle isn’t new.

Ever since humans have been living in society we have been searching for answers:

Beyond my role in the family, in my job, in society, who am I??
What do I do with my life?
How do I know the right thing to do?

Ema says:

“I love the Bhagavad Gītā because it doesn’t present abstract philosophical answers to these questions, but opens our hearts to see ourselves and find the answers inside. It provides a guide to practice, perspectives to understand our place in the world.”

Ema’s approach to this course employs the threefold practice of śravaṇa (listening), manana (reflection, discussion, questioning), and nididhyāsana (contemplation and integration) - you’ll read sections of the text, unpack the teachings through discussion and exercises, and you’ll receive a booklet of inquiry prompts for reflection in your own time.

Join her this May to explore the teachings of the Bhagavad Gītā in a welcoming community space.
