Kīrtan (from Sanskrit root, kīrt (कीर्त् - to praise, celebrate, glorify) is a beautiful practice of communal devotional chanting. We gather around the practice of devotional sound - practising call and response mantra meditation.
Kīrtan is held on the waves of music, but it’s not a performance - it’s an invitation to experience resonance, connection, sensory immersion, experiencing sound and mantra both inside and outside the body, and in community.
In our Kīrtans, Ema and Alex will lead call-and-response mantra meditation, inspired by their own spiritual and musical practice. They’ll also share stories and wisdom teachings from the tradition - expect an evening of warmth, grounding, expression, and connection.
