This three hour workshop will introduce you to the basics of reading your own birth chart. You’ll learn about the various celestial bodies in our solar system and how they might offer you insight into different aspects of your personality and life.
You’ll learn the basics of:
1. The Signs & Houses; Triplicities & Quadruplicities (Qualities & Elements); your own Horoscope Signature;
2. The Planets - your Ruling and any Angular Planets, Sun Sign, Moon Sign and Rising Sign/Ascendant;
3. The Aspects - The angular degrees between the planets that affects expression of the planetary energies involved.
Games, study and reflection are woven into the workshop giving you a thorough introduction for more in-depth study of astrology.
Your birth chart is informed by month, year, time and birthplace - you can think of it as a snapshot of the sky when you were born - and you’ll receive your own chart as part of this workshop.

About Tony
Tony shares his passion and knowledge of the energetic / yogic body and sound on our yoga teacher training programme here at MCY.
He first started studying astrology at age 12 to try and disprove the theories!
He figured that he’d need to do an in depth study to ascertain it's validity. After studying many charts of friends and family, there seemed to be such correlation with the pattern of the stars and people's habits and preferences it was hard to ignore. And so began Tony’s lifelong study of astrology.
He got a scholarship to Oxford studying Biology and is fascinated to see how the life patterns of many creatures and systems relate to the turning and gravitational influence of the planets. Tony went on to study an MSc in Education to learn how to communicate these skills with the wider community.
He helps others to better understand the moment of their birth and how that knowledge can be useful. Over the years Tony has been invited to share these jewels of wisdom and self-knowledge through workshops to help others find a clearer view of themselves and their relationships.
He also found that his mercury was conjunct with one of the Royal stars of Egypt that indicates knowledge of astrology from a previous life/ancestors!
