For many yoga students and movement practitioners handstands are something of a holy grail. As children we hurl ourselves upside-down with joyful abandon, but learning to handstand as an adult presents innumerable challenges. The handstand is a complex brain-body puzzle, and putting it all together can be a long and frustrating process.
This workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of the handstand and give you the physical and psychological tools to develop your own dedicated practice, whether you’re a frustrated wannabe hand-balancer or a complete beginner with inverted aspirations.
Matt’s a recent MCY teacher-training graduate and keen handstand enthusiast, eager to share the joys of upside-down life.

About Matt (in his own words)
I first became entranced by yoga at a music festival in the wilds of Scotland in the mid-2010s, and I have been exploring its myriad facets ever since. My curiosity and adventures somehow led me to teacher training, and after an extremely challenging, fascinating and fulfilling year, I became a MCY 200-hour graduate in 2021.
