Curious about Ashtanga Yoga but unsure where to start?
This four-week in-person course is designed for complete beginners and those new to the Ashtanga method. Taught in a relaxed, supportive setting, you’ll learn the foundations of this dynamic practice in a way that’s clear, accessible and engaging.
Each week we’ll build your knowledge step-by-step, with time to ask questions and guidance to help you practise at home between sessions.
You’ll learn to:
Practise Sun Salutations A & B with confidence
Understand and explore the key standing and seated postures
Adapt the practice to suit your body and energy levels
Breathe using the traditional technique (Ujjayi)
Experience the Mysore-style approach to self practice
Begin to understand the philosophy behind the Ashtanga system
By the end of the course, you'll feel stronger, more focused and ready to join our regular classes – or simply continue building your personal practice.
Whether you're brand new to yoga or returning after a break, this course offers a solid, inspiring start. And if you're already practising, it’s a great chance to reconnect with the essentials and refresh your understanding.
