Getting started is the hardest part no matter what it is you’re planning to do. “The scariest moment,” says Stephen King, “is always just before you start. After that things can only get better.”
Our classes are still online just now and that’s making it even harder for some folks to take the leap required to join us. There’s loads of reasons why getting started is a problem for most of us. Here’s just a few off the top of my head…
2020, a year to remember
It’s been a difficult year.
I’ve heard said a few times now that 2020 is a year to forget. But I think that’s completely wrong. I think 2020 should be a year that we remember. And remember for a long time to come.
It’s been such a year of fear, suffering and loss. Of kindness, compassion, gratitude and hope. Of learning, adapting and creativity. We shouldn’t forget any of that.
Why don’t more men do yoga?
All of the benefits of yoga can be enjoyed by men as well as women so why don’t more men do yoga? There’s a lot of mistaken beliefs about yoga and they can get in the way: it’s for girls; it’s too fluffy or touchy feely; it’s for hippies; it’s not enough of a “work out”; you need to be able to do the most difficult version of everything right away…

Yoga Outreach – Sharing, Relationships & Community
Every year I host Edinburgh Community Yoga and their brilliant weekend of yoga outreach training. As a Glasgow yoga studio I’m adamant that we have to take our place within our local community. We have to contribute what we can to support the community, foster relationships and nurture it to grow.
