Small classes of yoga for friends

You might be surprised to learn that we can tailor classes and sessions to suit your exact requirements. Maybe you’re a beginner and a bit self-conscious about jumping right into a class so would prefer some one on one time first? A group of friends who want to celebrate together with a private yoga class? Or maybe you want the convenience of a yoga class in your workplace? We can sure help with that.

A private session is a great chance to focus solely on you.

As a total beginner we’ll help you learn and establish good technique and alignment, build your confidence and you’ll have the opportunity to ask loads of questions. If you’re a more experienced yoga practitioner you’ll deepen your practice with exclusive attention focusing on your specific goals. You may be dealing with a current injury or illness, and with your doc’s approval, we can work with you to modify your yoga practice and even support you as you return to group classes. Or maybe you just work funny hours (like us!) and can’t make it along when classes are on.

No matter who you are or why you’re here:

  • Sessions are designed specifically for you
  • You choose where – we can come to you or you can come to us
  • You’ll be given all the help and encouragement you need. You’ll even learn stuff to help you practice on your own.

You can take as many or as few sessions as you like but to get the full benefit we suggest taking a number of sessions. Private yoga classes are an investment for your personal growth and health so don’t cheat on yourself, its just not worth it.

£54 for a 60 min session

Everyone we know is ridiculously busy at work these days so the idea of suggesting you take a yoga class at your work might seem just plain silly.

But what if we told you that yoga has proven to be one of the most effective ways in helping employees relieve stress and become refreshed and more focused? This means they make better decisions, are more productive, have a more positive attitude and are even less likely to need time off through illness.

When you consider that according to the Health and Safety Executive Annual Statistics Report for Great Britain 2012/13, 22.7 million working days were lost due to work-related ill health over the year, and mental ill health is the single highest cause of working days lost, its no wonder businesses are seeing the benefits of offering yoga at work. We didn’t make that up. It was reported by David Elliott in the Training Journal on 27 March 2014.

Why not? It is brilliant for both the employee and the company. And here’s why:

  • It reduces mental and physical stress and tension
  • It improves the immune system and overall health
  • It increases productivity, motivation, and work performance
  • It improves memory, focus and concentration
  • It improves stamina, flexibility and strength
  • It can eradicate fatigue and generate energy

It helps relieve common workplace aches and pains including headaches, neck and back pain, insomnia, high blood pressure and work-related injuries from repetitive motion, sedentary working and lifting and moving objects

Yoga exercises are simple and can be modified for all levels and abilities. Classes are designed to meet the needs of your employees. Offering yoga classes at work is a low cost and innovative way for companies to promote and support employee health and wellbeing.

Prices differ depending on the number of people participating in the class and how often the class meets. We suggest running the class for blocks of eight to ten weeks at a time, but are happy to consider one-off sessions too. The cost is usually around £5 a person for a group of at least 12 people and there are three different options for companies:

Full subsidy:
Employer pays the full amount and offers the classes free of charge to employees

Partial subsidy:
Class costs are shared by the employee and employer

Hosting the class:
Employer offers a space in the office for the class time and employees pay for classes.

We can also offer individuals in the group the option of booking and paying online.

Simply get in touch to discuss what you’re looking for and we’ll take it from there.

The size of these classes are somewhere between a private session and a corporate group. Small group classes are ideal if you are a group of friends who want to get together to do yoga. Or your best friend would rather get up early and do yoga than go out on the town to celebrate a birthday. We all have those friends and the ones who keep us on the straight and narrow. Or maybe you’re a group of budding yogis who want a class focusing on your specific challenges or goals. Any group and any excuse will do. Try us.

No matter what your group goals or needs are:

  • Sessions are designed specifically for you
  • You choose where – we can come to you or you can come to us

Like our Corporate classes, prices differ depending on the number of people participating in the class and how often the class is to meet.

The cost is usually £60 for a 60 min session. If there’s more than 12 of you it’s around £5 per person.

Again, just get in touch to discuss what you’re looking for we’ll have a chat and get started from there.
